WritersBlock Jason Bolte WritersBlock (2007) installation for text and algorithmic processing WritersBlock was realized as a collaborative project during a residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in the summer of 2007. The work intermingles original poetry and prose by several authors in residence at the center. The installation is projected over four equally spaced speakers (linear or quad), where each individual author’s work is projected monophonically through a single speaker. Each author’s work can intervene or exaggerate another author's work through panning, transposition, or convolution techniques. The recording is a short excerpt mixed down to stereo.
