CLOTHES:

Scrubs (optional. but wise)

Shorts/t-shirts

at least on pair of jeans

one semi-nice outfits

sneakers if you like to play basketball or soccer

ITEMS to BRING:

bottled water for at least one day

bar of soap

roll of toilet paper

alarm clock

bug spray

safety glasses

Back pack (small) to carry items to clinic

anti-diarrhea medicine (Immodiun AD or equivalent)

MONEY:

credit card (for Hotel or emergency)

ATM machines may be available

$100-$200 cash above estimated expenses is recommended (travelers checks are difficult to cash and not recommended)

exchange rate is about $1 US to $1918 Bolivars

You must have an American  passport. If you don't have an American Passport then you must get a visa.

Make 2 copies of your passport and leave one with a person in KC and carry the other

YOU CAN DRINK THE WATER IN THE HOTEL  A small restaurant is located within walking distance from the hotel. You can purchase bottled water there. There will be bottled water at the clinic.
